Bunda Mulia University (UBM) emphasizes the importance of the Student Senate (SENAT) and Student Organizations (ORMAWA) as agents of change and pioneers in preventing violence on campus. This message was conveyed through the socialization of the Prevention and Handling of Violence in Higher Education (PPKPT) at the Student Organization Working Meeting (RAKER) for the 2026–2027 Academic Year. Through this socialization, student organization administrators are expected to understand the importance of creating a safe, comfortable, and respectful organizational environment.

As part of student life, the SENATE and ORMAWA play a crucial role in building a positive organizational culture. This can begin with maintaining appropriate attitudes and behaviors in interactions, respecting differences, and avoiding actions that could harm others. Forms of violence that need to be prevented include physical and verbal violence, bullying , sexual harassment, and discrimination and intolerance based on gender, religion, race, or other differences. In this outreach, students are also reminded to take an active role in preventing violence through educating themselves and their communities, avoiding violent behavior, having the courage to reject and report inappropriate actions, and providing support to survivors. If they encounter or experience suspected violence, students can submit a report to the PPKPT Task Force through the reporting form on the Student Portal, including clear evidence and providing information responsibly. Each report will be reviewed and followed up according to applicable procedures. UBM also provides psychological support services through the SAC ( Student Advisory Center ), with the counseling process and information provided confidentially.

Through the socialization of the PPKPT (Student Student Organization Working Meeting) in the 2026–2027 Academic Year, UBM hopes that the SENATE and ORMAWA can fulfill their roles as agents of change and pioneers in violence prevention. This commitment is expected to be reflected in every organizational activity and daily interactions, thus creating a safe, inclusive campus environment that upholds mutual respect.
