Improving the capacity of human resources (HR) is one of the main strategies in implementing the Master Plan for the Acceleration and Expansion of Indonesian Economic Development (MP3EI). The MP3EI program is a breakthrough to accelerate economic development through the development of 8 sectors, namely agriculture, mining, industry, energy, marine, telematics, regional development and tourism. This encourages the quality of human resources to be improved in the development of the tourism sector. Human resource development is an absolute priority considering that Indonesia is facing global markets such as AFTA, ACFTA, AEC and so on. In this activity, after conducting the competency test, the participants were provided with materials through various sources, starting with the importance of certification, types of schemes and certification standards, SKKNI schemes and food processing business standards, SKKNI schemes and dessert business processing standards, as well as SKKNI schemes and Hygiene standards. and sanitation. The Expertise Competency Test (UKK) activity is an assessment held specifically for employees and owners in the Medan City area of North Sumatra where this activity is to measure the achievement of worker competencies which are equivalent to qualifications for level 2 (two) or 3 (three) in the KKNI.
