Jakarta, June 23, 2026 – In an effort to support the improvement of the quality of human resources (HR) in the Indonesian tourism industry, Bunda Mulia University (UBM) Serpong Campus successfully held a Community Service (PKM) activity. The Community Service (PKM) activity was in the form of a seminar and workshop with the theme ” Service Excellence, Professional Grooming, and Teamwork in Hospitality “ which took place from 2:00 PM to 5:30 PM WIB at the Ibis Styles Jakarta Airport Hotel. This activity was attended by 25 participants who were representatives from various hotel divisions. This program aims to improve the competence of human resources in the hospitality industry, especially in the aspects of service excellence, professional grooming , and effective teamwork. The seminar material was delivered by three experienced speakers from UBM, namely:
Participants gained an understanding of the importance of providing quality service to guests, maintaining a professional appearance according to hospitality industry standards, and building good collaboration among team members. In addition to the seminar session, the activity also included an interactive workshop in the form of teamwork practice through making paper crafts. This activity was designed to train communication, coordination, creativity, and problem-solving skills in groups. Throughout the activity, participants demonstrated high enthusiasm through discussions, questions and answers, and active involvement in each session. Through this program, participants are expected to be able to implement the knowledge and skills acquired in their daily work environment so as to improve the quality of service to customers. As a token of appreciation for the participants’ participation, the committee also provided electronic certificates that can be used as proof of professional competency development. Through this Community Service activity, UBM Serpong remains committed to collaborating with various industry partners to support the improvement of human resource quality and make a real contribution to the Indonesian tourism industry.
