Jakarta, June 4, 2026 – The Buddhist Student Family (KMB) of Bunda Mulia University (UBM) Ancol and Serpong Campuses successfully held the Vesak Celebration 2570 BE / 2026 which took place at The UBM Seminar Room, 7th Floor, UBM Ancol Campus. Carrying the theme “Mindful Campus Life: Finding Peace Amidst the Hustle and Bustle of Lectures” , this activity aims to encourage students to apply mindfulness in facing various academic, organizational, and campus life challenges. The event was attended by Sangha members, students, and committee members from both campuses who together participated in a series of activities with full reverence and togetherness.

The series of events began with participant registration, reading of the rules of procedure, and singing the national anthem Indonesia Raya and the March of the KMB. The atmosphere then became increasingly silent and sacred as members of the Sangha along with the service leader entered the room to begin the worship procession. Various religious rituals were carried out, starting from the lighting of the main candle, the five-colored candles, and incense, followed by an opening service, blessing through the recitation of the Bhaisajyaguru Mantra, Nian Fo , group meditation, and the Yu Fo ritual or bathing of the Buddha image as a symbol of self-cleansing from inner impurities. All participants followed each series with full respect and awareness.

In the main session, Venerable Bhiksu Duta Samyak delivered a Dhammadesana on the application of Buddhist teachings and mindfulness practices in the dynamic lives of students. The material presented provided a deep understanding of the importance of maintaining mental health, inner peace, and balance in life amidst the various demands of lectures. The enthusiasm of the participants was evident in the interactive question and answer session. As a token of appreciation for the knowledge and inspiration that had been shared, the committee presented a Token of Appreciation , Amisa Puja, and souvenirs to Venerable Bhiksu Duta Samyak.

The event was further enlivened by a door prize draw session held live by Sangha members, creating a warm, joyful atmosphere and strengthening the bond between participants, committee members, and Sangha members. The event then concluded with a group photo session and a solemn closing service. Through this Vesak celebration, KMB Dhammamitta hopes that all participants can implement the values of Dhamma and the practice of mindfulness in their daily lives, maintain a balance between academic achievement and inner peace, and spread goodness to others for the sake of a more harmonious and peaceful life. Sabbe Satta Bhavantu Sukhitatta — may all beings be happy. Sadhu… Sadhu… Sadhu…
