The activity, which took place in Room 1407, aimed to equip UKM Talent (MCU) members with effective communication skills and build self-confidence rooted in recognizing their potential ( inner brilliance ). On this occasion, UKM Talent (MCU) presented two speakers, namely Cide Jessica and Cide Cecil to share insights on the importance of self-representation and impression management in public. This workshop was attended by 63 enthusiastic participants to explore their potential through talk show sessions and practical simulations. This activity was opened energetically by Christian Kevin Huxandy and Brigitta Jacqueline Tjew as the hosts (MC). To lighten the atmosphere, the initial procession was filled with ice breaking “Tepuk Pagi, Siang, Malam”. The event continued with remarks from Olivia Clarissa, Deputy Chair of UKM Talent (MCU) and the person in charge of the event, and a warm welcome from Thomas Cristiansen, the Chief Executive, who also acted as moderator for the talk show session. In the talk show session, Cide Jessica and Cide Cecil shared their respective journeys as part of Cide Kode Benteng, including the various processes and challenges they had to overcome until they finally developed to where they are today.

Next, Cide Jessica discussed the importance of self-understanding based on self-concept theory, which states that how a person views themselves significantly influences their behavior and social responses. Meanwhile, Cide Cecil delved deeper into impression management , which is how to build an effective impression through a strong belief in one’s own worth.

After the talk show session, interactive practice and QnA were completed, it was continued with the final session, namely giving ToA (Token of Appreciation) and conducting documentation with the resource person.

Through this workshop, it is hoped that all participants can develop their communication skills, both on campus and in the community.
