Tangerang, October 6, 2025 — The Buddhist Religious Activity Unit (UKR Buddha), namely KMB Dhammamitta of Universitas Bunda Mulia (UBM) Ancol and Serpong Campuses, once again held a Talk Show and Anniversary Celebration with the theme “Develop Wisdom and Compassion: Living Mindfully.”
This celebration was held to commemorate the 19th anniversary of KMB Dhammamitta Ancol and the 8th anniversary of KMB Dhammamitta Serpong, serving as a moment of togetherness and gratitude for the joyful journey within the Dhamma. The event also aimed to strengthen the bonds among alumni, committee members, DhammaWorkers, and Buddhist students of KMB Dhammamitta from both campuses.

The talk show took place on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at Room 1206, 12th Floor, Universitas Bunda Mulia Serpong Campus, featuring speakers Venerable Bhikkhu Cittagutto Mahāthera, Venerable Bhiksu Bhadra Pala Mahāsthavira, and Andy Sega, moderated by Meyry Ardianti.

During the session, Venerable Bhikkhu Cittagutto Mahāthera shared that every life challenge—whether from academic duties or personal matters—can essentially be resolved with patience. Sometimes, problems can be managed independently through mental calmness, yet at times, we may also need support from others such as close friends or family. He emphasized that an open heart and patience are the keys to keeping the mind from being dominated by pressure.

Venerable Bhiksu Bhadra Pala Mahāsthavira added that compassion in campus life can be expressed through simple actions such as greeting others, helping friends in need, or listening sincerely. When compassion is practiced together with wisdom, it cultivates harmony and fosters a warmer campus community.
Meanwhile, Andy Sega shared his experience in maintaining balance between academics, organizational activities, and Dhamma practice during his college years. According to him, discipline means knowing one’s priorities, and taking time to calm the mind is essential for balance. He also highlighted that failure and disappointment can be opportunities to learn to be wiser and more compassionate toward oneself and others.
The talk show also included a Q&A session, allowing participants to interact directly and gain deeper insights into the discussed topics.

The anniversary celebration continued with prayers, a blessing session, singing the birthday song, candle blowing, cake cutting, and group photos. The atmosphere of togetherness grew stronger as the event concluded with interactive games, creating warmth, laughter, and unity among all participants and committee members.

In addition, the celebration was complemented by KMB Berkah (Blessing Program), conducted by the Ancol Campus on Sunday, September 21, 2025, at Angke Station, and by the Serpong Campus on Thursday, September 25, 2025, in front of UBM Serpong. This program involved distributing food and drinks to the surrounding community — a tangible expression of metta (loving-kindness) and karuna (compassion) from KMB Dhammamitta members. It also symbolized the hope that as the organization grows older, it continues to bring positive contributions to the community.

We sincerely hope that KMB Dhammamitta will continue to serve as a platform for students to learn and practice the Dhamma, foster harmonious relationships among fellow Buddhists, and contribute to the development of Buddhism in Indonesia.

In closing, we, KMB Dhammamitta, would like to express:
Sabbe Satta Bhavantu Sukhitatta — May all beings be happy.
Sadhu, Sadhu, Sadhu.
