Jakarta, May 20, 2025 – The iCare Student Activity Unit (UKM) of Bunda Mulia University (UBM) Ancol Campus successfully held an online environmental-themed talk show, attended by over 100+ participants. The event was supported by the MCU Student Activity Unit, which served as the master of ceremonies and helped ensure the smooth running of the program.
The talk show aimed to raise student awareness of the importance of an environmentally friendly mindset, particularly in understanding the connection between human activities and their environmental impact. The speaker for this event was Dimas Dwi Pangestu, S.Tr.Sos., CPS, Founder of Trash Ranger, who opened the session by presenting various small actions that can have a significant positive impact on the environment.

He also introduced the “bamboo philosophy” in three phases as a unique approach to addressing environmental issues. His presentation was delivered in an inspiring and easily understandable manner.
In addition to the talk show, UKM iCare Ancol Campus also organized a campaign competition for collecting PET-labeled plastic bottles. This activity was held over three days — May 15, 16, and 19, 2025 — from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM in the lobby of UBM Ancol Campus. The campaign received enthusiastic participation from students who collected plastic bottles to be distributed to a recycling bank for further processing.

Through this series of activities, we hope to enhance knowledge and inspire both participants and committee members to be more environmentally conscious and aware of the impact of their daily actions on nature.
In conclusion, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to all parties who supported the talk show and campaign, and to all the committee members who worked hard to make this event a success. We hope the spirit of environmental awareness will continue to grow and spread throughout the academic community of UBM.
