Amidst the increasingly complex dynamics of modern life, the need for adaptive and strategic leadership has become increasingly relevant. To address this challenge, the Bunda Mulia University (UBM) Master of Management Program presents a seminar titled “Strategic: How to Be the Next Golden Leader,” an inspiring forum designed to equip the younger generation with effective leadership and time management strategies.
This seminar presented an inspiring speaker, Prof. Dr. Drs. Danial Thaib MM., a permanent lecturer in the UBM Master of Management Program who has more than twenty years of experience as an academic in the field of marketing. This academic and professional experience provides a comprehensive perspective on how to become a superior leader in a competitive era. This activity was specifically linked to the Strategic Management course (MM24U21), where participants were invited to understand the importance of strategic thinking in making decisions, preparing long-term plans, and managing resources effectively. In his presentation, Prof. Dr. Drs. Danial Thaib MM. discussed various important materials, including time management strategies for aspiring leaders, the concept of strategic thinking in career development, the importance of self-leadership, techniques for determining vision-based priorities, and how to maintain a balance between career, education, and personal life. The material presented was not only theoretical, but also supplemented with case studies and real-life experiences in the workplace, so that participants gained an applicable picture that was relevant to current conditions. Furthermore, this seminar also emphasized the importance of developing a solution-oriented leadership mindset, the ability to read opportunities amidst challenges, and the courage to make measured

decisions. Participants are invited to understand that becoming a “Golden Leader” is not just about position, but about consistency in developing personal competence, integrity, and the ability to adapt to rapid change. The interactive discussion that took place demonstrated the high interest of participants in exploring concrete strategies to prepare themselves for the increasingly competitive and performance-based professional world. Participants gave a very positive response to the organization of this seminar. They considered the material presented relevant to the needs of today’s young generation, especially in facing the challenges of a dynamic world of work. Many participants said that this seminar opened new insights regarding the importance of strategic planning from an early age and motivated them to be more disciplined in managing their time and developing their capacity as future leaders. Enthusiasm was evident from active participation in the question and answer session, discussions, and personal reflections shared throughout the event. Many participants said they gained new perspectives on how to align career ambitions with personal values and life balance. Through the seminar “Strategic: How To Be The Next Golden Leader” , Bunda Mulia University reaffirmed its commitment to producing golden leaders who are not only academically superior, but also strategically mature and ready to face global challenges.
