Spirit of Competition: Bunda Mulia University Students Struggle at the 2024 Thrive Hospitour Universitas Pelita Harapan

On May 28 and 29 2024, Hospitality and Tourism study program students took part in competition activities organized by Pelita Harapan University, majoring in Tourism, activities were held on the Pelita Harapan University Campus.

On this occasion, the Hospitality and Tourism study program fielded students from semesters 6, 4, and 2 and took part in three competition categories, namely Making Bed & Towel Art, Table Set Up, and Mixing Drink. On this occasion, the students assigned to Making Bed & Towel Art were Selvi Candra (6th Semester, GPA: 3.56) and Ferly Ferdian Lie (2nd Semester, GPA: 3.45) who were supervised by Sir Ika, Table Set Up, namely Hani (4th Semester , GPA : (3.97) and Syheravi Handoko (4th Semester, GPA : 3.67), Mixing Drink namely Carine Chandra (4th Semester, GPA : 3.88) and Davin Himawan (4th Semester, GPA : 3.64) who are supervised by Sir Yogo and Sir Yudhiet. Participants who took part in this activity came from several campuses majoring in tourism, such as from Samarinda, Bali, Lombok, Batam, and Palembang. On this occasion, students from the UBM Hospar study program were not able to bring trophies, but the comments from several judges received positive responses, such as making bed there was a comment that the concept was good, the table set up was also the same, then for mixing drinks from Carine, she received comments on the latest innovation in drinks so that she broadened her knowledge in the world of mixology, Davin was also the same because they both brought processed drinks from Kiamboy and Buah Nutmeg. However, until we read the results we didn’t know what the shortcomings were and we didn’t get any points. Even though they didn’t bring a trophy, the children gave their best and fought enthusiastically. Keep moving forward in the world of Hospitality and Tourism!
