While doing any activities, we need to be concentrate and focus. This also applies when talking to others, giving presentations, doing assignments, or listening to lectures.
Therefore, it can be said that focus is very important in everyday activities. However, it cannot be denied that at times, we find it difficult to focus and lose concentration, which can disrupt the continuity of the activity or work being done and affect its outcome.
Focus is described as a part of the thinking ability that enables us to perform tasks without any distractions or delays. In daily life, we are faced with various demands from work, education, friendships, and other things. Therefore, we are required to handle them all well and remain focused. Lack of focus can be disruptive and affect our activities. For example, in focusing on attention while studying in class, the reason why we find it difficult to focus is usually due to work fatigue, stress, boredom, and having too much to do. Training focus can provide benefits such as improving the quality of work, minimizing errors, and helping us to think more clearly.
Through the “Boost Your Focus, Increase Your Impact” seminar held by SAC on Friday, March 10, 2023, we can learn the reasons why focus is lost and how to improve it. In this seminar, participants were given an explanation of the definition of focus, the types of distractions that can disrupt focus, and how to improve focus.
