The Excellent Community of Management (XCM) – Serpong Campus successfully held its annual Gathering & Soft Skill 2025 event on June 16–17, 2025, with the theme “How to Ace Your Job Interview”, at Alfa Resort, Bogor. This event is part of XCM’s yearly agenda aimed at strengthening member relationships and enhancing soft skills among XCM members. The entire series of activities was enthusiastically attended by 37 XCM members and guided by two faculty advisors, Dr. Ika Pratiwi Simbolon, S.E., M.M., and Christy Ayu Sarah Panjaitan, S.E., M.M.
The event began at 05:30 AM at the Universitas Bunda Mulia campus, where participants gathered and completed attendance before departing for the event location. The journey to Alfa Resort took approximately three hours and was followed by a coffee break upon arrival. The event was officially opened by both faculty advisors, who delivered motivational messages and encouraged members to continue growing and actively participating in the organization. After the opening session, participants proceeded to their assigned rooms to settle in. The event then continued with lunch at Alfa Resort’s restaurant.
At 1:00 PM, the soft skill session with the theme “How to Ace Your Job Interview” was delivered by Ms. Christy Ayu Sarah Panjaitan, S.E., M.M. In this session, participants received valuable insights and practical tips on how to navigate the job-seeking world, particularly how to handle job interviews effectively and confidently. The session concluded with a token of appreciation presented to Ms. Christy Ayu Sarah Panjaitan by Dr. Ika Pratiwi Simbolon, as a gesture of gratitude for her contribution and the knowledge she shared. Through this soft skill seminar, XCM members were expected to gain a deeper understanding of interview strategies, including proper attire, effective communication, confidence-building, and common mistakes to avoid during interviews.
The agenda then continued with games, free time, and dinner. The dinner session served as a calm and warm moment to strengthen camaraderie. In the evening, the program resumed with presentations from all XCM structural divisions, where each team delivered performance reports and evaluations as part of organizational reflection and learning. Following this, the new President and Vice President of XCM were announced, along with the presentation of their vision and mission for the upcoming term. This marked the beginning of a new leadership period, filled with renewed spirit. The night concluded with a bonfire session and the announcement of the Best Member of XCM, recognizing outstanding contributions during the organizational term. The evening ended with souvenir distribution as a token of appreciation and remembrance.
On the second day, the agenda started with breakfast, followed by the distribution of prizes to each winning team as a form of appreciation for their active participation in the games. Afterward, participants had time to relax and enjoy the resort environment before proceeding to check-out. After the final lunch session, a group photo was taken to capture memories and document the event. The group then continued the journey to Cimory Dairyland to shop for souvenirs before finally returning to Universitas Bunda Mulia campus, where they completed final attendance, officially marking the end of the XCM Gathering & Soft Skill 2025 event.
Through this Gathering & Soft Skill activity, it is hoped that XCM members will become more united in interacting with fellow organization members and more confident in facing future career challenges.
