In order to support the improvement of student competency in conducting research data analysis, the Distance Learning Management Study Program of Bunda Mulia University held a SmartPLS Data Processing Training for Distance Learning Management students who are taking the Thesis course in the Additional Semester of the 2025/2026 Academic Year. This activity aims to provide conceptual understanding as well as practical skills to students in processing and analyzing research data using the SmartPLS application, so that students are able to analyze research models based on Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) precisely and systematically. This training was held on Tuesday, July 14, 2026 at 6:00 PM–9:00 PM WIB online via Google Meet and was attended by 17 students of the Distance Learning Management Study Program Additional Semester of the 2025/2026 Academic Year.

This activity presented Dr. Siti Yasmina Zubaedah, BSIE., MSIE as an instructor who provided an explanation of the basic concepts of analysis using SmartPLS, starting from the preparation of research models, testing measurement models (outer models), testing structural models (inner models), to interpreting analysis results according to scientific research principles. In addition to delivering the material, the training also included a practical session on data processing using SmartPLS. In this session, participants had the opportunity to directly practice the stages of data analysis, starting from importing data, building research models, running analyses, and interpreting the resulting output. This practical approach is expected to help students understand the analysis process more deeply and increase their confidence in processing data for the preparation of theses. This training activity is part of the commitment of the Distance Learning Management Study Program at Bunda Mulia University to support student academic success, particularly in improving research data analysis competencies, which are one of the important skills in the preparation of scientific papers. Through this training, it is hoped that students will be able to apply analytical methods using SmartPLS appropriately, produce quality research, and compile theses better according to applicable academic standards.
