UBM’s Distance Learning Management and Accounting Webinars Provide Insights into Future Business Leadership and Strategic Management

The Distance Learning Program (PJJ) in Management and the Distance Learning Program (PJJ) in Accounting of Bunda Mulia University (UBM) held a Softskill Webinar entitled “Future Business Leadership and the Essence of Strategic Management in Leading Future Corporations” on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at 6:30 PM–8:10 PM WIB. The activity was carried out online via Zoom and was attended enthusiastically by PJJ Management and PJJ Accounting students.

This webinar was held as an effort to equip students with insights into future business leadership and an understanding of strategic management in facing changes in the increasingly complex and competitive global business environment. Through this activity, students are expected to be able to develop a strategic, adaptive, and visionary mindset as a provision for entering the world of work and developing a career in the future.

This activity presented one experienced resource person in the field of corporate management, namely Dr. Ir. Luhut Indra, MT, General Manager of PT. Tokyu Property Management Indonesia. In his presentation, the speaker shared insights on the characteristics of future corporate leaders, the process of formulating and implementing organizational strategies, and the application of the Span of Control Theory in organizational management. “Supervision effectiveness must be adjusted to the number of direct subordinates managed in a hierarchical manner. Delegation of tasks to the manager, supervisor, and leader levels must run in harmony so that organizational coordination is not hampered,” said the speaker when explaining the application of the span of control principle based on his experience leading an organization with hundreds of subordinates.

The material presentation session was interactive and continued with a question and answer session, where participants actively asked questions related to the application of strategic management, leadership challenges in a dynamic business era, and readiness to face the world of work. The activity concluded with the distribution of certificates and a group photo session. Through this webinar, students of the Distance Learning Management and Distance Learning Accounting Study Programs at Bunda Mulia University are expected to better understand the essence of future business leadership and strategic management, and be better prepared to face the increasingly competitive professional world.
