Jakarta, October 13, 2025 – The Faculty of Technology and Design (FTD) of Bunda Mulia University (UBM) once again held an academic activity titled “Publishing in International Journals: Publication Strategies and Challenges,” held at the Premier Classroom on the Ancol Campus. Lecturers from six study programs within the FTD attended: Information Systems, Informatics, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Visual Communication Design, and Interactive Design.
The workshop featured Prof. Ts. Dayang Norhayati Abang Jawawi from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia as the keynote speaker, who shared in-depth insights into strategies for writing scientific articles, selecting reputable journals, and understanding international publication ethics.
The Dean of Technology and Design stated that this activity is a strategic step in enhancing the research and publication capacity of FTD lecturers, in line with the university’s vision to strengthen the Faculty’s academic reputation globally.

During the session, participants gained an understanding of the effective article writing process, how to avoid plagiarism, and strategies for navigating the international journal review process. The participants’ enthusiasm was evident in the lively interactive discussion and Q&A session.
The workshop also served as a platform for building academic networks among lecturers and researchers across study programs, strengthening research collaboration and encouraging an increase in the number of scientific publications in reputable journals.

The event concluded with a group photo session and the presentation of tokens of appreciation to the speakers. Through this activity, the Faculty of Engineering and Technology (FTD) UBM hopes to continue producing competent, high-integrity researchers and academics capable of contributing to the development of science at the international level.
