Jakarta, August 28, 2025 – Universitas Bunda Mulia (UBM), through its Digital Business Program, successfully held a Public Lecture at The UBM Premiere, Ancol Campus, featuring guest speaker Mr. Dede Fasoli, a seasoned practitioner in digital transformation within the retail industry.
The event carried the theme “Building Alfagift Around Consumer Needs: Turning Everyday Consumer Needs Into Seamless Alfagift Experiences”, aiming to provide deeper insights into building digital experiences that are relevant to consumers’ everyday lives. A total of 75 Digital Business students enthusiastically participated in the session and engaged in interactive discussions with the speaker.
In her opening remarks, Devi Yurisca Bernanda, S.Kom., M.M.S.I., Ph.D, as the Head of the Digital Business Program and the Person in Charge of the event, emphasized that this lecture was not only about academic knowledge but also about creating direct interactions between students and industry professionals. “Through this event, students are not only exposed to theories but also have the opportunity to connect them with real industry practices,” she stated.
One of the highlights of this lecture was the distribution of case studies that will be integrated into the Digital Project Management course. This initiative allows students to work on real-world cases related to digital transformation, sharpening their analytical and managerial skills in handling industry-based projects.
The activity also reinforced the importance of collaboration between academia and industry, especially through the synergy between the Digital Business Program and Online to Offline Commerce (O2C) companies such as Alfagift. This partnership reflects UBM’s vision of delivering relevant, applicable, and industry-oriented learning experiences for its students.
The event was organized with active student involvement. The committee was led by Agung Stefanus Kembau, S.E., M.B.A., CPM, who served as the Event Chair as well as the Advisor of EXODUS (Digital Business Student Association), supported by Derick Raditya as Vice Chair and Annabel Carin as Project Manager. The participation of student committees highlights the hands-on and collaborative learning approach fostered by the Digital Business Program at UBM.
UBM strongly believes that such initiatives not only prepare students to excel academically but also equip them to face challenges in the era of digital business transformation. In line with this vision, this event stands as a true manifestation of UBM’s mission of “Bridging Education To The Real World.”
