Jakarta, November 20, 2025 – Bunda Mulia University (UBM) held an Adjunct Professor activity with the theme “Building the Future of Smart Networks: Innovations in Security and Privacy,” featuring international resource person Associate Prof. Xiaoling Wu from Guandong University of Technology, China. This activity was held online, attended by students taking the courses SIK04 – Information Security and Assurance and TIG09 – Cyber Security.
Through an interactive presentation, Prof. Xiaoling Wu discussed cyber threats that can impact public trust in technology. Cases of data theft, system hacking, and misuse of personal information demonstrate the importance of a deep understanding of information security and cybersecurity.
The evaluation results showed a very positive response, with an average score above 3.36 on a scale of 4.00. Students were enthusiastic during the Q&A session, to the point that the moderator was unable to answer all questions due to time constraints. Participants appreciated the speakers’ mastery of the material and their ability to answer questions. Several suggestions were also made, such as the desire for hands-on practice sessions and the implementation of offline activities.
This activity is part of UBM’s commitment to providing relevant and technology-based learning.
