JAKARTA, December 16, 2025 – The Hospitality and Tourism Study Program of Bunda Mulia University (UBM) successfully held a Community Service (PKM) activity entitled “Career Day Class” for students of SMK Tarakanita 2 Jakarta. This activity aims to provide a comprehensive view of the career path in the dynamic hospitality industry. In the event, which was attended by 35 students, the activity was led by a lecturer from the Hospitality and Tourism Study Program, Lamtiar Hema Malini, S.Par., MM . She explained various professional opportunities, ranging from hotel operations, destination management, to entrepreneurship in the tourism sector. This introduction is considered an important bridge between the world of school and their future higher education. Unlike conventional material presentations, this activity applies an experiential learning method. The students were involved in interactive team building activities specifically designed to hone their communication, coordination, and teamwork skills—three key competencies that are crucial in the service and hospitality industry. “Through this activity, UBM hopes to make a real contribution in helping students recognize their potential, understand career paths, and make more informed decisions in determining further studies,” said the implementing team in its report. The evaluation results showed a very positive response from the participants. Based on questionnaire data, the accountability aspect achieved a satisfaction level of 95% and the educational aspect achieved a 94% (Very Good category). This proves that the material presented is very useful and answers the needs of students in facing future industrial challenges. The activity, which took place at SMK Tarakanita 2, North Jakarta, also served as a real implementation of the concept of relationship marketing to strengthen collaborative relationships between educational institutions and partner schools.
