Hospitality & Tourism Study Program students from Bunda Mulia University (UBM) have once again achieved a proud achievement through the JOAYO Korean Seaweed Recipe Challenge event which was held on May 13, 2026 at the UBM Ancol Campus, winning 2 winners, namely 1st place and 3rd place. 
This activity is the result of a collaboration between Bunda Mulia University and JOAYO in presenting a creative competition based on Korean culinary which is aimed at developing innovation, creativity, and students’ abilities in processing food ingredients into dishes that have selling value and are attractive to the younger generation. 
In the competition, the UBM Hospitality & Tourism student team won 1st place – Celvin Crishtianto and 3rd place – Billy Kho Chandra after presenting an innovative menu creation based on Korean seaweed that combines authentic Korean flavors with a modern touch and attractive presentation. The assessment was based on aspects of recipe creativity, processing techniques, plating, taste, and the participants’ ability to present the dish concept in front of the judges. This achievement is a testament to the ability of UBM students to apply culinary knowledge creatively and competitively in the hospitality and food service industry. This success is expected to motivate other students to continue developing their competence, innovation, and spirit of achievement in the field of hospitality and culinary arts. In addition to being a platform for talent development, this collaborative activity between UBM and JOAYO also strengthens the relationship between the world of education and industry in creating a learning experience that is applicable, creative, and relevant to current international culinary trends.
