The Faculty of Technology and Design successfully conducted a seminar titled “Research-Based Education” on Monday, March 24, 2025, featuring Prof. Dr. Nizar Achmad Hidayanto, S.Kom., M.Kom. as the keynote speaker. The seminar was attended by faculty members and aimed to strengthen their capacity in integrating research into the teaching and learning process.
The objectives of this seminar were to:
Enhance lecturers’ understanding of the fundamental concepts and principles of Research-Based Education.
Equip participants with practical skills to design learning activities that are integrated with research-based practices.
Foster stronger collaboration between lecturers and students in research projects that support academic learning.
Improve the overall quality of teaching and ensure that academic outputs are aligned with current research and scientific development needs.
In his presentation, Prof. Nizar emphasized that Research-Based Education not only enhances the quality of learning but also builds an academic ecosystem that is active, reflective, and productive in generating scientific innovations.
The Faculty of Technology and Design reaffirms its commitment to advancing educational transformation that is adaptive to the dynamics of science and the evolving demands of society. This seminar serves as a concrete step toward reinforcing the dual role of lecturers as educators and researchers focused on academic excellence.
It is hoped that this activity will mark the beginning of a broader implementation of research-based education across the curriculum and learning activities in all study programs within the faculty.
