The Data Science Study Program and Student Association successfully organized an internal competition from February to May 2025. A total of 29 students from the Data Science study program participated in the QHive Data Challenge 2025. This event served as a platform for developing and sharing data analysis and data-driven decision-making skills.
The QHive Data Challenge 2025 adopted the theme “Empowering Indonesia’s Future through Data-Driven Innovation”, based on Indonesia’s vision to become a developed nation by 2045. In support of the Indonesian Golden 2045 government initiative, participants were tasked with addressing one of the five main visions for a Golden Indonesia and solving it through data-driven innovation and artificial intelligence.
The event commenced online on February 8, 2025. This opening session covered the rules and judging criteria. Participants were then given until February 22, 2025, to submit their work in the form of a proposal for an upcoming presentation.
The presentation stage took place over two days, March 3-4, 2025, held online. Each group presented their work before a panel of judges, comprising lecturers from the Data Science, Information Systems, and Informatics study programs. Based on the scores from these presentations, finalists were selected to proceed to the event’s culmination: an exhibition.
The exhibition was held on May 22-23, 2025, at the UBM Sports Hall. Finalists explained their work to exhibition visitors. Visitors then cast their final votes to determine the winners of the QHive Data Challenge 2025, choosing one out of the six finalist groups. Participants were also given the opportunity to present their work on stage on the second day of the exhibition.
With a spirit of collaboration and a forward-looking vision, the QHive Data Challenge 2025 has become a platform for brainstorming ideas, strengthening relationships among students, and reinforcing the academic character within the Data Science Study Program students at Universitas Bunda Mulia.
