PUBLIC LECTURE “THE 3D TRANSFORMATION : INTEGRATING TECHNOLOGY, TRANSPARENCY, AND TRANSITION INTO THE BSC”

On May 8, 2025, a public lecture titled “The 3D Transformation: Integrating Technology, Transparency, and Transition into the BSC” was held at Universitas Bunda Mulia. The event took place in The UBM Seminar Room and proceeded smoothly as scheduled. The lecture addressed the impact of technological and informational developments on the accounting profession, particularly in the field of auditing.

The discussion was structured around six main topics, which formed the core of the lecture: Thoughts, Times, Translating, Digitalization, Disclosure, and Decarbonization.

• In the “Thoughts” segment, the discussion focused on the mindset and perspectives essential for shaping the character of a professional accountant who adheres to ethical standards.
• The “Times” sectionemphasized that in the accounting profession, time does not hinder progress; rather, it integrates the profession with technological advancements, enabling accountants to stay relevant and leverage technology in their work.
• In the “Translating” segment, it was highlighted that the accounting profession is closely related to the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) framework, which serves as the foundation for management planning and control systems aimed at enhancing both BSC performance and financial reporting.
• The “Digitalization” segmentintroduced participants to the evolving technologies within financial reporting, including the demonstration of website tools designed to assist accountants in preparing financial statements more quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
• The “Disclosure” sectioncovered the regulations governing financial reporting standards and audit reporting frameworks.
• In the “Decarbonization” segment, attendees were introduced to sustainability reporting systems, which have become the new global standard in financial reporting due to increasing concerns regarding environmental and business sustainability.

The public lecture proceeded in accordance with the planned agenda, beginning with an opening by a Master of Ceremony from Universitas Bunda Mulia. This was followed by the main presentation delivered by Mr. Michell Suharli from 13:30 to 15:30, and concluded with a question-and-answer session and open discussion with the participants.

The entire event was held at The UBM Seminar Room and was carried out successfully. The overall execution was well-received, with participants providing highly positive feedback.
