Friday, December 9, 2022. All of the Active students in the third semester at the Hospitality and Tourism Study Program at the Bunda Mulia University, majoring in Entertainment and Leisure Management, held a Public Lecture with the theme: Successful Gen Z in Travel and Meeting, Incentiven Individual, Exhibiton (MICE) Industry for Prospective Entrepreneurs and Millennial Influencers located at The UBM Hall, North Jakarta, the provinve of the Region Capital State. The event was held in the framework of the Transformation of Travel and Mice for Millennials in which Mrs. Siti Hazar was invited as the speaker at this Public Lecture, who is The owner of Pt.Hazara Internasional and Hazara event Organiser.
This activity was attended by UBM Hospitality and Tourism study program students from semesters 1, 3, and 5 along with the Hospitality and tourism Lecturers.
This event was started by the moderator’s welcoming speech, singing along our National Anthem “Indonesia Raya” followed by Bunda Mulia University anthem, prayer readings and lastly the welcoming speech from Mr. Imam Ardiansyah SST. PAR. M. PAR. as The Deputy Head of hospitality and tourism study program, representing the Hospitality and Tourism Study Program at Bunda Mulia University. Finally a remark was also given from the Chairman of the Event.
Presentation of Material on Successful Gen Z in Travel and Mice Industry by Speakers.
The presentation of material from Mrs. Siti Hazar, owner of Pt.Hazara International and Hazara event Organiser. She explained the ins and outs of Travel and Mice’s experience and the business she lived, starting from the beginning of becoming an event organiser from a small scale to the ministry and then the reason for establishing this business, to the journey of her business until now. She also provided tips such as how to start an Event Organiser, how to organise an event, how to be called to fill an event, tips and tricks to built a successful event, how to maximised potential in this millennial era, and what activities which could be done when running an event. She also told her story when she was still working and starting her career, how her workshops were always in great demand, and the importance of recognising self-abilities that could later become results. After the presentation of the material, participants were given the opportunity to ask questions about the materials which were given. The event was closed with the criticism and suggestions regarding the event to the organisers of the activity openly.
It is hoped that with this public lecture with the theme: Successful Gen Z in Travel and MICE Industry for Prospective Entrepreneurs and Millennial Influencers. the students of Bunda Mulia University majoring in Hospitality and Tourism study progam can show their abilities, start building relationships with others, and have new idea for the future of tourism especially in the Travel and MICE Industry.
