Jakarta, October 3, 2025 – One of the undeniable developments in the world of technology is Artificial Intelligence (AI). Without paying attention to self-awareness in the use of AI, it will certainly have undesirable negative impacts. The Management Study Program of Bunda Mulia University (UBM) once again demonstrated its commitment to supporting the development of self-awareness of the younger generation through Community Service (PKM) activities held at Tarakanita Vocational School, Jakarta. This activity is a series of events Edufair Tarakanita Vocational School which is packaged in the form of an educational seminar with the theme “ From Data to Self-Awareness: AI in Success Awareness Building “, which was held on Friday, October 3, 2025, at 08.00–10.00 WIB, attended by approximately 300 Tarakanita Junior High School and Vocational School students.
This seminar presented Mrs. Margareta, SE, MM who is a lecturer and practitioner from Bunda Mulia University, as the main resource person. He was accompanied by Alvin Andika Siory, an active student from the UBM Management Study Program, who also shared his experiences and provided perspectives on the benefits of having self-awareness in the use of AI. This activity aims to instill self-awareness in vocational high school students from an early age, as a provision for facing the increasingly rapid development of AI. The material presented included an understanding of data and AI, their meaning, purpose, and how to build self-awareness, and the relationship between self-awareness and the use of AI that can lead to success if used in accordance with the correct ethics. The seminar took place in an interactive and communicative atmosphere, where participants not only listened to the material, but also actively discussed, asked questions, and shared their experiences in using AI. The material was delivered with a light yet inspiring approach, relevant to the lives of today’s teenagers. This activity is part of Bunda Mulia University’s routine Community Service program which aims to make a real contribution to the world of education, especially in developing self-awareness in high school students. Through this activity, UBM hopes to support the improvement of the quality of vocational high school graduates not only in technical aspects, but also in mental readiness, attitudes, and leadership in facing the development of AI.
