In an effort to support final year students who are working on their thesis for the Even Period of 2025/2026, the Management Study Program of Bunda Mulia University (UBM) Serpong Campus through the Excellent Community of Management (XCM) has held a Data Processing Application Training activity using the Smart Partial Least Squares (PLS) and Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) applications. This training activity was carried out in three sessions which took place on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, Wednesday, March 11, 2026, and Friday, March 13, 2026, at the UBM Tower Serpong Campus. Each session presented experienced speakers in the field of data processing, namely Mr. Nicholas Wilson, SE, MM and Mr. Ongky Alex Sander, SE, MM.
In the first session held on March 10, 2026 at 5:45 PM, PLS training was attended by 31 students in Room 1102. The second session on March 11, 2026 at 5:45 PM was SPSS training attended by 15 students in Room 1101, which was also guided by Mr. Nicholas Wilson. Furthermore, the third session on March 13, 2026 at 9:30 AM was PLS training attended by 44 students in Room 1101 with Mr. Ongky Alex Sander as the speaker. Each training session began with a presentation of material related to basic concepts and application of applications in research data processing, then continued with direct practice. The activities took place interactively, where students showed high enthusiasm through active participation in asking questions and discussing.
The material presented helped students understand the steps of data processing systematically and applicably. The entire series of activities ran smoothly according to the predetermined schedule. Based on the feedback obtained, this training was deemed very useful, relevant, and able to improve students’ understanding of data processing for their thesis needs. The majority of participants gave very good ratings to the material, delivery methods, and the skills of the speakers in delivering the training. Through this activity, it is hoped that students will be able to apply the use of PLS and SPSS effectively in their thesis research, thereby improving the quality of the resulting research results.
