On November 19, 2025, Mrs. Dr. Ika Pratiwi Simbolon, SE, MM, CMM., Mrs. Christy Ayu Sarah Panjaitan, SE, MM and Mr. Dr. Oloan Situmorang, MM as lecturers of the Management Study Program at UBM Serpong Campus together with Justin Karell Valentino and Vallen who are active students of the Management Study Program at UBM Serpong Campus, held a Community Service Program (PKM) for 48 residents in RW 02 Ketapang Village, Cipondoh District, Tangerang City, Tangerang. This program, which raised the theme of MSME Development and HR Training in the Digital Era, lasted for 120 minutes, namely from 09.00 – 11.30. The purpose of this activity was to increase participants’ understanding of how to develop MSMEs and conduct HR training in the digital era. In this session, Mr. Dr. Oloan Situmorang, MM gave a discussion on how to build work ethics and soft skills for MSMEs where, it was explained that there are quite a lot of “myths” in the business realm which are actually not all true.
The material presentation session was then continued by Mrs. Christy Ayu Sarah Panjaitan, SE, MM explaining what factors are needed in developing human resources for MSMEs so that they can have a competitive advantage in the market. Next, Mrs. Dr. Ika Pratiwi Simbolon, SE, MM, CMM. explained material on the role of fintech in micro, small and medium enterprises. After the material presentation session was completed, this activity was closed with a question and answer session involving participants from RW 02 Ketapang Village, Cipondoh District, Tangerang City. Furthermore, on December 3, 2025, Mr. Dr. Tri Adhitya Basuki, SE, MAP, CFrA. and Mr. Frananda SJ, SE, MBA. as a lecturer in the Management Study Program at UBM Serpong Campus together with Frisil Melanie, Velensia Effendy, Keefe Santoso who are active students of the Management Study Program at UBM Serpong Campus, provided a follow-up discussion to 48 residents in RW 02 Ketapang Village, Cipondoh District, Tangerang City, Tangerang regarding the development of creative product ideas and the role of effective communication in building cooperation between residents.
For the first session, Mr. Dr. Tri Adhitya Basuki, SE, MAP, CFrA. explained the role of effective communication in building cooperation between residents. The activity lasted for approximately 180 minutes, namely from 09.00-12.30. The presentation of the material emphasized the importance of cooperation between residents to prevent conflict and strengthen social solidarity. The next session was continued by Mr. Frananda SJ, SE, MBA. with the theme of developing creative product ideas. The stages in the process of developing ideas to creating finished products start from (1) Find ideas, (2) Test ideas, (3) Develop products, (4) Test small markets and (5) Promote on social media. Following the presentations, the event continued with a discussion and interactive Q&A session with residents and MSMEs. The hope was that the community would gain a more realistic understanding of the business world and how they can improve their soft skills in the digital age. The event ran smoothly, demonstrated by the enthusiastic interaction of residents throughout the discussion.
