Jakarta, September 22, 2025 – The Student Association of the Hospitality and Tourism Study Program at Universitas Bunda Mulia (UBM) proudly held the Meet and Greet HMP Hospar 2025 event with the theme “Next Gen Leaders: 7 Soft Skills for Students in Organizations”. This event aimed to introduce the HMP to new students and provide insights on the development of essential soft skills for students involved in campus organizations.
The event, held on Monday, September 22, 2025, at the UBM Premiere Classroom, was attended by 60 first-year students, as well as members of HMP Hospar. The seminar provided students with knowledge about proper grooming standards according to the guidelines of the Hospitality and Tourism Study Program at Universitas Bunda Mulia, as well as the importance of soft skills such as communication, leadership, and teamwork in organizational settings.
The seven essential soft skills for students in organizations discussed in this event were:
Effective Communication – The ability to clearly convey messages and listen actively.
Leadership – The ability to motivate and lead a team toward common goals.
Critical Thinking & Problem Solving – The ability to analyze problems and find effective solutions.
Time Management – The ability to organize and allocate time efficiently to complete various tasks and responsibilities.
Teamwork – The ability to collaborate and support each other within a team.
Adaptability – The ability to adjust to changes and new challenges.
Networking – The ability to build mutually beneficial relationships in a professional environment.
These skills not only enhance success in student activities but also serve as a crucial foundation for students’ success in the workforce after graduation.
The event featured Ms. Novia Sri Parindu Purba, M.Psi, a psychology lecturer, who delivered insights on developing soft skills, as well as an organizational experience session led by Styven Edricsen, Chair of HMP Hospar. Additionally, students were introduced to various divisions within HMP Hospar, including Event & Logistics Division, Development & Human Tradition Division, and Marketing Communication Division.
