Management Study Program Students of Bunda Mulia University (UBM) Ancol Campus conducted an Industrial Visit to PT. Santos Jaya Abadi (PT. Kapal Api Group)

Hey Biemers! On Friday, May 23, 2025, students of the Management Study Program at Universitas Bunda Mulia (UBM) Ancol Campus carried out an Industrial Visit to PT. Santos Jaya Abadi (PT. Kapal Api Global) located in the Suryacipta Industrial Area, Karawang, West Java. This activity carried the theme “Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility in Driving Ethical Growth Modern Business Landscape” and was attended by 53 students accompanied by the supervising lecturer Elkunny Dovir Siratan, S.Par., M.M. The main purpose of this visit was to directly introduce the implementation of sustainability principles and corporate social responsibility (CSR) in the operations of modern business.

Throughout the entire series of activities conducted from 10.00 to 13.00 WIB, students gained direct insights from the speaker of PT Kapal Api Global regarding the real implementation of sustainability principles and corporate social responsibility (CSR) in the business growth strategy undertaken. The comprehensive presentation covered various operational aspects, social initiatives, as well as the company’s approach to creating long-term value that is oriented not only toward profit but also toward social and environmental impact. The activity continued with an interactive discussion session and a company tour that provided an opportunity for students to directly observe the production process and sustainability practices applied in the industrial work environment.

There was also the presentation of a Token of Appreciation, and participants were given snacks, coffee flow, and souvenir gifts. Through this experience, students are expected to gain a holistic perspective on the importance of integrating ethical values, sustainability, and social responsibility into sustainable business decision-making in the modern era. This visit is expected to raise students’ awareness of the importance of ethical and sustainable business practices and encourage the integration between the theories learned in lectures and industrial world practices. Through this activity, students not only gained additional knowledge but also inspiration to become responsible, ethical professionals ready to face the challenges of the dynamic business world.
