Jakarta, September 2025 – Students from the Information Systems Program of Universitas Bunda Mulia (UBM) proudly represented the university in the Business Plan Competition ISFEST 2025, hosted by the Faculty of Information Technology, Satya Wacana Christian University (UKSW), Salatiga. This year’s competition carried the theme “Digital Business Innovation: Driving Sustainable Growth in the New Economy”, emphasizing the importance of digital business innovation in supporting sustainable growth in today’s evolving economy. The competition challenged participants to design innovative business models that integrate digital transformation, including the use of Generative AI, online platforms, information system integration, and data-driven services. Beyond profitability, the competition sought business concepts that promote sustainability, inclusivity, and readiness to address the challenges of the future economy.
UBM sent the team NexysBiem, under the supervision of L1971 Bhustomy Hakim. The team consisted of three outstanding students: Jonathan Chandra Sanjaya (31230020, GPA 3.18), Floretta Faustine (31230010, GPA 3.84), and Catlyne Oktaviana Suwandi (31230002, GPA 4.00). These students have impressive track records, including being semifinalists at the Business Plan Competition Xproject UNS 2024, Top 20 Business Plan finalists at GEM STEI 2025, and active members of various student organizations such as HIMSI, BEC, and UKR JIC. The competition was held from July 1 to September 17, 2025, with several stages including registration, technical meetings, report submission, evaluation, and culminating in the Business Plan Expo, pitch deck presentations, seminar, and award ceremony conducted onsite at the Faculty of Information Technology, UKSW, Salatiga. NexysBiem successfully completed all stages, from booth sessions to presentations and seminars, and received favorable evaluations from the judges.

Although the team did not secure a championship title, their participation was a valuable experience in sharpening business analysis, creativity, and presentation skills at the national level. This year’s winners were Universitas Gadjah Mada (1st Place), Universitas Brawijaya (2nd Place), and UKSW (3rd Place), while the booth favorite award, determined by onsite voting, was won by another university team. Participation in this competition aligns with UBM Information Systems Program’s commitment to developing students’ potential, fostering competitiveness, and broadening their insights into the latest trends in digital technology and business innovation.
