On Tuesday, May 20, 2025, in an effort to enhance students’ practical understanding of the manufacturing industry and its relevance to the professional world, the Student Association of the Accounting Study Program (HIMA ACCASIA) at Universitas Bunda Mulia successfully organized an Industrial Visit to PT Bino Mitra Sejati (Bantex), located in the Sentul Industrial Area, Bogor, West Java.
The event was attended by 43 students from the 2nd, 4th, and 6th semesters, along with a number of organizing committee members. This industrial visit aimed to equip students with firsthand insights into production processes, business management systems, and the application of accounting practices within a manufacturing environment.
The agenda commenced with a warm welcome from the representatives of PT Bino Mitra Sejati (Bantex), followed by a comprehensive presentation by Mr. Andi Wijaya, S.Hut, who delivered an overview of the company’s profile, the historical development of Bantex, its flagship products, and its distribution and marketing strategies. Students were also introduced to the company’s business processes, with an emphasis on operational efficiency and innovation. A Q&A session provided participants the opportunity to delve deeper into the topics discussed and engage in direct dialogue with the company representatives.
This was followed by an insightful sharing session from the Research and Development (R&D) team, led by Mr. Yudi, who elaborated on the product innovation process, quality improvement initiatives, and the challenges of adapting to the ever-evolving market demands. The session underscored the critical role of innovation and responsiveness in sustaining competitive advantage.
A representative from Universitas Bunda Mulia, Ms. Theresia Olivia, S.E., M.Ak., then delivered a speech to express sincere appreciation to PT Bino Mitra Sejati (Bantex) for its collaboration and contribution in offering students a valuable experiential learning opportunity. She emphasized the significance of synergy between higher education institutions and industry players in fostering education that is both relevant and applicable to real-world contexts.
As a token of mutual appreciation and partnership, the Accounting Study Program of Universitas Bunda Mulia presented a Token of Appreciation to PT Bino Mitra Sejati (Bantex), which was reciprocated by the company to the university. The event concluded with a guided tour of the production facilities, where participants witnessed the manufacturing process firsthand—from initial production stages to the final packaging of Bantex products. This immersive experience provided students with concrete understanding of operational management and quality control in a manufacturing setting.
The industrial visit was conducted smoothly and proved to be an enriching and impactful learning experience for all participants. Through this initiative, HIMA ACCASIA hopes to better prepare students for the workforce by equipping them with practical knowledge and a comprehensive understanding of business processes in the manufacturing sector.
