
Tourism Village Industry Visit
On Saturday, May 9, 2026, the Hospitality and Tourism Study Program of Bunda Mulia University held an Industry Visit to Pasirbuncir Tourism Village, Caringin District, Bogor Regency. This activity was carried out from 08.00 until finished. This Industry Visit activity aims to broaden students’ insights and knowledge regarding tourism management based on tourism villages. Through this activity, students can see firsthand the activities, management systems, and tourism management practices implemented in Pasirbuncir Tourism Village. This experience is expected to be able to connect the theories that have been learned in class with real practices in the field. In addition, this activity also aims to help students understand the application of hospitality and tourism concepts in the context of tourism villages. Students have the opportunity to observe how destination management, tourist services, utilization of local potential, and community involvement are carried out directly in tourism activities.
This Industrial Visit also serves as a means for students to build networks and communication with tourism village managers and the local community. This interaction can provide valuable experience for students in understanding the world of work, especially in the fields of hospitality, tourism, and community-based destination development. This activity was attended by 71 students and accompanied by 11 lecturers. During the activity, participants were divided into several small groups to participate in a series of activities to introduce tourism villages. Students also participated in educational tourism activities that provided direct experience regarding local potential, community culture, and tourism management practices in Pasirbuncir Tourism Village. Through this activity, students are expected to gain knowledge and real experience regarding tourism management in tourism villages. This activity is also expected to increase students’ understanding of the importance of managing creative, educational, and local community-based tourism destinations.
