On Wednesday, September 3, 2025, the Hospitality and Tourism Student Association (HMP Hospar) at Bunda Mulia University, Serpong Campus, held an online talk show and meet and greet event themed “The Dawn of Our Journey: From Strong Roots to Endless Skies.” The event was led by Medelina, the event chair, and the 2025/2026 HMP Hospar Student Council (BPH) served as the organizing committee. This event was open to new first-semester students in the Hospitality and Tourism program at Bunda Mulia University, Serpong Campus. The event aimed to help new first-semester students adapt to the university environment and provide a broader overview and insight into the Hospitality and Tourism environment at Bunda Mulia University, Serpong Campus. This event also introduced the Hospitality and Tourism Student Association to the importance of participating in organizations and how to develop and be productive during their studies. It also provided information about the open recruitment for the Hospitality and Tourism Student Association’s management for the 2025/2026 academic year.
The Fun Meet 2025 event invited Kallista, a 2019 Hospitality and Tourism alumna from Bunda Mulia University who currently works as a front desk agent at Mandarin Oriental, and Elsye Lim, an active student majoring in Culinary Arts & Innovations. The event was opened with a lively opening by Candy Maqdalene, secretary of the Hospitality and Tourism Student Association (HMP) for the 2025/2026 class. The Indonesian national anthem and the UBM March opened the event, followed by remarks from Dr. Patricia Robin, S. Ikom., M.Ikom., Manager of Academic 1A, UBM Serpong Campus. Hari Iskandar, SE., MM., the supervising lecturer for the HMP Hospar Serpong Campus, and Marcia Gunawan, the Head of the HMP Hospar Serpong Campus.
The event continued with the MC reading of the profiles of the two speakers, Kallista and Elsye Lim. The event then continued with a talk show with the two speakers, moderated by Marcia Gunawan. The speakers enthusiastically and informatively answered various questions posed by the moderator regarding their experiences with HMP Hospar, as well as providing advice and encouragement for being active and productive during their studies. Participants were also given the opportunity to ask questions directly to the speakers, who shared valuable experiences and knowledge that helped them understand and obtain answers to their questions.
The event continued with a Meet & Greet session with HMP Hospar, where they provided an explanation of HMP Hospar and its divisions. Afterward, the event was opened with an explanation and opening of “Open Recruitment” for first-semester students. This activity was followed by games to add to the excitement of the event, which all participants could participate in. The event concluded with a documentary session with all committee members and speakers. The MC then delivered closing remarks, marking the end of the “Fun Meet 2025” event.
The Hospar Student Association (HMP) hopes this activity will help first-semester students become more confident in developing themselves, exploring their potential, and being active and productive throughout their studies. The Hospar Student Association also hopes that the experiences and insights shared by the two speakers will help students determine their direction during their studies and encourage first-semester students to become interested in joining the Hospitality & Tourism Study Program Student Association at UBM Serpong Campus.
