Discussing current industrial developments is certainly full of demands to always be innovative and creative. Bunda Mulia University (UBM) as a formal education institution is taking definite steps to support the nation’s progress in matters directly related to the industrial development intended at the beginning. UBM successfully held an event that was in line with the ideals and current situation of industrial development, namely Creative Week which was initiated by three study programs at once, namely Hospitality and Tourism, Interactive Design and Visual Communication Design, various events were presented to support the noble mission of educating the nation and advancing young generation. The series of events at Creative Week include exhibitions, training workshops, national seminars, international seminars and competitions.
The series of events will be held from 25 September to 27 October 2023. The debriefing workshop is the initial event of a series of events at Creative Week, while this event aims to provide debriefing to students and prospective competition participants before taking part in the competition in October. This event was welcomed enthusiastically by participants who actively interacted with the presenters. There are several presenters who present different material every day, including discussions related to game making, plating, bed making, tour planning, packaging, UI/UX and so on.
The next event was officially opened on October 16 2023 with a series of activities such as an exhibition at Summarecon Mall Serpong showing Oculus VR as a facility for the Interactive Design (DI) study program, making pins and an exhibition of illustration work from the DKV study program for the first day to the second day. six, then on the seventh day there was a cake/food decoration show from the Hospitality and Tourism study program (HOSPAR). At the same time, Creative Week also holds international seminars and workshops.
Of the series of seminars at this event, the first series held was a seminar with the theme Innovation and Technology role at Food and Beverage Industries which was presented by Chef Ragil and Loka Hendra on October 17 2023 at the Premiere Class, UBM Ancol Campus. Then the next seminar is Interactive Design Role at Entertainment Industries which was presented by Fabian Long & Andy Wijaya on October 19 2023, in the Lecture Hall.
UBM Serpong Campus. Furthermore, on October 21 2023, an international workshop with the theme Cooking Workshop French Cuisine, by Chef Richard Gillet, was held at TUMK, UBM Serpong campus and on the same day an international seminar was also held with two themes, namely Innovation & Technology in Branding Design and Innovation in Game Technology presented by William Truong and Jorg Friedrich at TUGA UBM Ancol campus.
Almost all of this seminar series was held in a hybrid, onsite and online manner with the aim of reaching creative people more widely. Continuing the series of events, the competition started with the Spice Mixology and Plating Competition categories on October 25, then continued with the Making Bed, Mascot & UI/UX Design categories. And on the last day of the Digital Illustration and Stop Motion Competition categories.
