Community Service Program – Faculty of Technology and Design Microsoft Excel Certification Training at SMK Strada Daan Mogot

As part of the commitment to the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, particularly in the area of community service, the Informatics Study Program of UBM Serpong successfully conducted a community engagement activity entitled “Microsoft Excel Certification Training Program” at SMK Strada Daan Mogot on April 28–29, 2025.
This program was specifically targeted at 12th-grade students of SMK Strada Daan Mogot who had successfully passed their national examinations. The main objective was to enhance their practical skills and job readiness by equipping them with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, a vital tool in today’s professional and industrial landscape.
The training was conducted over two days, covering:

Day 1: Introduction to basic and intermediate Microsoft Excel functions, including data management, formula application, and simple financial report formatting.

Day 2: A certification exam simulation based on industry-standard practices.
This training served as a value-added technical skill for students, enriching their portfolios as they prepare to enter the workforce or continue their studies at a higher level.
Through this initiative, the Informatics Study Program of UBM aims to provide meaningful contributions in bridging the gap between education and industry demands, while also strengthening partnerships with local schools to support the development of quality human resources at the secondary education level.
