As a manifestation of its commitment to implementing the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, particularly in the field of Community Service (PkM), the Management Study Program at Bunda Mulia University (UBM) Ancol Campus once again held an educational activity aimed at equipping the younger generation with relevant competencies to face future challenges. Through the PkM activity entitled “Entrepreneurship for Gen Z”, the UBM Management Study Program invited students of Santo Leo 2 High School Jakarta to get to know the world of entrepreneurship better and develop an innovative mindset from school age.

The event, held on Friday, July 24, 2026, featured Mr. Ade Arifandi, SE, MM, a lecturer in the Management Study Program at Bunda Mulia University, as a resource person, accompanied and assisted by active Management Study Program student Tania Agatha (12240181). In his presentation, he shared various insights regarding the importance of entrepreneurship as a promising career choice in the digital era, while also providing a practical overview of the steps to starting a business. According to Mr. Ade Arifandi, Generation Z has great potential to become entrepreneurs because they are known to have high creativity, the ability to adapt to technological developments, and a close relationship with various digital platforms. Therefore, students are encouraged to change their mindset from being mere consumers of technology to individuals capable of creating business opportunities through the use of digital technology. The material presented includes strategies for utilizing social media and digital platforms as a means of building a business, the importance of developing a never-give-up mentality in facing business challenges, and how to find business ideas from problems encountered in everyday life. In addition, participants also gained an understanding of communication skills, basic financial management, and time management strategies to be able to balance academic activities with entrepreneurial activities.

The activity took place interactively with high enthusiasm from the students of Santo Leo 2 High School Jakarta. This was evident from the active participation of participants in the discussion and question and answer session. The various questions asked demonstrated the students’ high interest in understanding the process of building a business from an early age, while also gaining inspiration from the experiences shared by the speakers. Through this Community Service activity, Bunda Mulia University hopes that students will not only be prepared to continue their education to a higher level or enter the workforce, but also have the courage, creativity, and passion to become young entrepreneurs who are able to create jobs for the community. This activity also forms part of Bunda Mulia University’s ongoing commitment to presenting educational programs that are relevant to the needs of the times and have a real impact on the development of character, competence, and competitiveness of Indonesia’s young generation. Through synergy between higher education and secondary education institutions, UBM continues to strive to support the creation of an educational ecosystem that is able to produce innovative, adaptive, and entrepreneurial human resources.
