In order to strengthen the commitment to improving the quality of research, the Co-host International Conference on Management and Business Strategy (ICOMBUS) 2026 was held online on Saturday, April 18, 2026. This activity presented Dr. Dian Mayasari, Msc. (Lecturer, University of Wales Trinity St David, Prof. Dennis Cheek, BA, BS, MA, PhD, FRSA, AAAS. (Dean, School of Entrepreneurship & Humanities, Ciputra University Surabaya) and Diana Hartono, CFP (Maybank Sekuritas Indonesia) as speakers for this activity. This international conference activity started at 08.00 WIB and was guided by the MC who opened the event and conveyed the importance of strengthening the quality of research as the main foundation in increasing the competitiveness of higher education institutions. Several authors from lecturers and students of the Management Study Program at Bunda Mulia University participated in this international conference . The co-host activity of this international conference involved the participation of lecturers and students of the Management Study Program at Bunda Mulia University by presenting 3 scientific works.
The first scientific work entitled ” The Influence of Motivation, Social Media and Risk Perception on Students’ Investment Behavior in the Capital Market “, is the work of lecturer authors Mrs. Dr. Ika Pratiwi Simbolon, SE, MM, CMM., Mrs. Christy Ayu Sarah Panjaitan, SE, MM, Mrs. Margareta, SE, MM and student authors consisting of Justin Karell Valentino, Frisil Melanie, Nadine Kuswandi, Jessica Bong. The second scientific paper entitled ” The Role of Financial Literacy on the Impact of Financial Technology-based Online Loans and Its Legal Aspects “, is the work of lecturer author Mrs. Dr. Ika Pratiwi Simbolon, SE, MM, CMM. and student authors consisting of Riovander Ferdinand Tjahyadi, Michael Irawan Kusuma, Justin Nathanie, Renji Rahadiansyah. Furthermore, the third scientific paper entitled ” Perceived Financial Risk & TPB: The Utilization of Two Different Concepts to Predict Indonesians’ Behavior to Purchase Chinese-Made Cars “, is the work of lecturer authors Mr. Nicholas Wilson, SE, MM and Mr. Ali Wardhana, SE, MBA., CSA. and student authors consisting of Kevin Saputra, Ferelia Kurniawan, Catherine and Alexandra Natalie.
One of the scientific papers that has been presented at this international conference activity received the best presenter award with the presenter on behalf of Mrs. Dr. Ika Pratiwi Simbolon, SE, MM, CMM . The scientific paper entitled “ The Influence of Motivation, Social Media and Risk Perception on Students’ Investment Behavior in the Capital Market ”, is the work of lecturer authors Mrs. Dr. Ika Pratiwi Simbolon, SE, MM, CMM., Mrs. Christy Ayu Sarah Panjaitan, SE, MM, Mrs. Margareta, SE, MM and student authors consisting of Justin Karell Valentino, Frisil Melanie, Nadine Kuswandi and Jessica Bong. The international conference participants consisting of lecturers and students showed high enthusiasm by asking various questions and critical discussions for each presentation of material from the presenters . The international conference activity closed at 16.00 WIB, marked by the awarding of Tokens of Appreciation to the speakers as a form of appreciation for the contributions and presentations given, and ended with a photo session with all participants.
Through this activity, it is hoped that all lecturers will increasingly have new knowledge and insights from the scientific study of all papers from all presenters and also the material presented by the speakers so that they can improve the quality of education in a sustainable manner in the campus environment.
