West Jakarta – The Bunda Mulia University Community Service Team is implementing an Artificial Intelligence-based program to strengthen the Cempaka Integrated Health Post (Posyandu) to improve maternal and child health services in Tanah Sereal Village, Tambora District. This program addresses the challenges of manual recording, limited measuring tools, and limited data analysis, which have slowed service delivery and complicated case monitoring.
The UBM lecturer team was led by Yemima Monica Geasela, S.Kom., M.Kom. as the chair, with members Puguh Hiskiawan, S.Si., M.Si., Ph.D. , Shierly Everlin, S.Ds, M.Sn , Ni Gusti Agung Ayu Evangelina B , Earlene Aprilie C , and Khemal Agustinus . A number of students were also involved as field assistants so that the transfer of knowledge took place intensively. The title of the activity carried was Empowering Community Partnerships through Innovation in Strengthening Cempaka Integrated Health Posts Utilizing Artificial Intelligence Technology .
The program’s primary objective is to improve cadre competency and service quality through digitalized record-keeping, automated health data acquisition, and artificial intelligence-assisted analysis for early detection of toddler nutritional status and monitoring of high-risk pregnancies. The program also strengthens efficient and secure data governance, improves family health literacy, and establishes more responsive referral pathways to ensure sustainable benefits for residents.

“Alhamdulillah, this program has been very beneficial for us; I hope it continues to benefit everyone. I hope this program can develop, continue, and improve, so that we can continue to use it and have a lasting impact. Thank you very much for your participation so far,” said Siti Fatimah, a representative of the Cempaka Integrated Health Post (Posyandu) cadres.
“Alhamdulillah, I am very proud and grateful for the presence of lecturers and students from Bunda Mulia University. On behalf of the community, I express my appreciation for the training visit and the enthusiasm shown. I hope this program continues to grow and progress. I hope that with the equipment brought by the team, the operations of the Cempaka Integrated Health Post (Posyandu) and Community Health Center (Puskesmas) will become easier, more effective, and more modern, as previously the equipment we used was still not sophisticated,” added Jajuli, the neighborhood association (RW) head.
The developed system connects digital scales, ultrasonic height measuring devices, sphygmomanometers, and fetal Doppler devices with data recording devices. Measurement results are instantly entered into the Cempaka Integrated Health Post (MDPC) Database Management System, allowing growth trends to be monitored, indicator deviations to be quickly detected, and evidence-based counseling provided. The interface is designed to be simple for cadres to operate, while the centralized database facilitates reporting on maternal and child nutrition and health programs.
Beyond technical aspects, mentoring focuses on service management. Weighing and examination schedules are synchronized, visit control cards are prepared, and program achievement summaries are compiled to facilitate faster decision-making. Training and technical guidance are conducted in stages, starting with device introduction and digital recording practices, and continuing with the interpretation of relevant indicators for nutrition and reproductive health interventions.
The expected impacts include faster and more accurate services, more reliable monitoring of child growth and pregnancy, and increased capacity of cadres in providing counseling. The collected data will serve as the basis for planning integrated health post (Posyandu) activities and evaluations with local community health centers, strengthening collaboration between campuses, health facilities, and the community.

This program is supported by the Ministry of Education , Science, and Technology, the BIMA Dikti Grant , and Bunda Mulia University . Funding is focused on equipment procurement, system development, and ongoing training. Through this initiative, UBM affirms its commitment to being present in the community, providing measurable solutions, and strengthening the maternal and child health service ecosystem at the village level.
