Jakarta, September 12, 2025 – The Buddhist Student Activity Unit (UKR Buddha) KMB Dhammamitta of Bunda Mulia University (UBM) Ancol Campus successfully held the Meet and Greet & Talkshow 2025 with the theme “The Mettā Project: Transforming Good Intentions into Real Actions”. The event took place at The UBM Seminar Room (TUSR), 7th Floor, Ancol Campus.
The Meet and Greet is an annual agenda organized by KMB Dhammamitta at the beginning of each academic year as a platform to introduce the organization to new Buddhist students at UBM. Through this event, participants were introduced to KMB’s programs, its organizational journey over the years, and the current 19th management board. This initiative is expected to inspire new students to participate and contribute as Dhammaworkers or new members.

This year, the event was complemented with a talkshow featuring Venerable Bhiksu Bhadra Pala Mahasthavira, the spiritual advisor of KMB Dhammamitta, alongside alumni representatives and the current Chairperson of KMB Dhammamitta. The discussion focused on both the benefits and challenges of joining student organizations during university life—topics highly relevant to new students’ perspectives and considerations. An interactive Question and Answer (QnA) session also allowed participants to engage directly with the speakers.
The Meet and Greet & Talkshow 2025 attracted 89 participants, including students, alumni, and members of the Buddhist community. The event was further enlivened with a door prize session for participants who actively contributed during the discussions.

Carrying the theme “The Mettā Project: Transforming Good Intentions into Real Actions”, the program aimed to encourage Buddhist students to cultivate moral integrity and compassion in both academic and daily life. Beyond discussing organizational experiences, the talkshow highlighted the importance of embodying the value of mettā (loving-kindness and care) through practical actions, strengthening KMB Dhammamitta as a united, harmonious, and compassionate community.
In closing, KMB Dhammamitta expressed the hope that this event will serve as the first step in building a Buddhist community that continues to grow with love and unity. Sabbe Satta Bhavantu Sukhitatta – May all beings be happy. Sadhu… Sadhu… Sadhu…
