Tangerang, June 29, 2026 – The iCare Student Activity Unit (UKM) has successfully carried out a Rehabilitation Prison Visit with the theme ” Hope Unfolds: Empowering Recovery Through Togetherness “ . This activity was aimed at inmates of the Tangerang Class IIA Women’s Prison, and involved iCare administrators and members for the 2025/2026 period. This Rehabilitation Prison Visit was held on Monday, June 29, 2026 at the Tangerang Class IIA Women’s Prison located at Jl. Mochammad Yamin No.1, RT.001/RW.004, Babakan, Tangerang District, Tangerang City, Banten 15118.

On the day of the event, the inmates were ready and greeted the committee upon their arrival at the Class IIA Tangerang Women’s Prison. The event was opened by the MC, followed by remarks from the Deputy Chair of iCare and the Event Chair. Following the remarks, the MC invited all inmates to split into two groups for an icebreaker activity, which included a game of making words from the letters they had written.

Next, the inmates were divided into 6 groups to enter the clothes painting session. After being divided, each group was accompanied by a committee to be distributed painting equipment and clothes that they would paint. The committee gave 4 choices of themes: scenery, flowers, hobbies, or things they liked. Participants were given 40 minutes to freely paint on their respective clothes. After the clothes painting activity was completed, the committee expressed their gratitude and said goodbye to the inmates who had participated. After the inmates returned to the prison building, the committee held a documentation session with the prison administrators. After a group photo, the committee said goodbye to the administrators and officers of the Class IIA Tangerang Women’s Prison, then traveled back to UBM.

Through this Rehabilitation Prison Visit, iCare hopes to provide encouragement and a space for expression for inmates at the Class IIA Tangerang Women’s Prison, while fostering social awareness among iCare members and administrators. This activity is expected to serve as a reminder that recovery and hope can grow through togetherness, in line with the theme, “Hope Unfolds: Empowering Recovery Through Togetherness.”
