Tangerang, 12 September 2025 – The UKM Talent (MCU) of Universitas Bunda Mulia Serpong Campus successfully held a Hybrid National Seminar X Meet & Greet with the theme “MCU: First Mic First Step” on Friday, 12 September 2025, at The UBM Lecture Hall, 5th Floor, Alfa Tower. The event featured several speakers, including Allysa Natalie, Founder of SAYINC.ID, as well as MCU 2024/2025 committee members Leandro Leslie, Muhammad Rafa, and Florencia Karuna. The event was attended by 163 onsite participants and 62 online participants.

The event was opened by MCs Yeshuah Ruben and Magdalena Simamora, followed by the singing of Indonesia Raya and the Universitas Bunda Mulia Hymn. The MCs then outlined the event rules and expressed gratitude to both internal and external media partners.
Participants were informed about the registration for UKM Talent (MCU), which could be accessed via their official Instagram account, @ubm_mcu_serpong. The opening remarks were then delivered by Nicodemus Koli, S. Fil., M.I.Kom, as the advisor of MCU, and Yehezkiel Samuel Marcellino, as the Event Chairperson.
The material session by keynote speaker Allysa Natalie began with an interactive Q&A session with onsite attendees, focusing on the fear commonly felt during public speaking. Allysa explained that fear of public speaking often stems from fear of others’ opinions, excessive “what if” scenarios, fear of failure, perfectionism, or even past negative experiences.

She went on to explain the concept of the Spotlight Effect, a psychological phenomenon where people overestimate how much others are observing or judging them—when in reality, most people are not.
Allysa then emphasized the importance of personal branding, sharing how she built her own brand through storytelling. She regularly shares her experiences as an MC on her social media, showing how personal branding can help shape and evaluate one’s public speaking abilities.

After the material presentation and Q&A session, the event continued with the Token of Appreciation (ToA) presentation and a special performance by UKM Biefindc. This was followed by the Meet & Greet session with the MCU 2024/2025 committee members.
The Meet & Greet, which also functioned as a talk show, was hosted by Olivia Clarissa as MC. The speakers were Leandro Leslie (Chairperson), Muhammad Rafa (Vice Chairperson), and Florencia Karuna (Secretary of MCU for the 2024/2025 academic year).

During this session, they shared their most memorable experiences while in office, challenges they faced as public speakers, tips for effective public speaking, and encouraging messages for the participants.
The event concluded with a second attendance check and group documentation. Through this seminar, it is hoped that participants gained valuable insights and skills they can apply in their daily lives.
