Jakarta, May 28, 2026 – The Student Activity Unit (UKM) iCare Universitas Bunda Mulia Ancol Campus successfully held a Green Campus Talkshow with the theme “Less Waste, More Future” which was held online and attended by 57 participants. This activity aims to increase student awareness about the importance of protecting the environment and understanding the impact of human activities on environmental sustainability. The event began with remarks from representatives of the Student Affairs Division, the Head of iCare UBM Ancol, and the Event Chair, then continued with a series of interactive activities, including an ice-breaking session in the form of a myth or fact game about waste that succeeded in increasing the enthusiasm of the participants.

In the main session, Farid Aulia Rahman, an Associate at the Kertabumi Recycling Center, presented simple steps that can be implemented in everyday life to positively impact the environment. His presentation encouraged participants to understand that small habits, consistently implemented, can lead to significant changes for the planet’s sustainability. The event became even more interactive through a question-and-answer session, where participants could discuss the topic in person or via Zoom chat. As a token of appreciation, the speakers also selected the best questioners to receive prizes in the form of e-money.

In addition to the talk show, UKM iCare also held a campaign to collect used plastic bottles marked PET which took place on May 25-28, 2026 at the iCare booth located next to the UBM Ancol Campus Student Lounge. This campaign received a positive response from students who participated in collecting plastic bottles to then be distributed to the waste bank and further processed. The activity closed with a group photo session and the awarding of a Token of Appreciation to Farid Aulia Rahman for the knowledge and insights that have been shared. Through this activity, UKM iCare hopes that students will be more aware of the importance of protecting the environment, building more environmentally friendly living habits, and playing an active role in creating a more sustainable future, both on campus and in the community. iCare, weCare!
