Jakarta, September 16, 2025 – To mark the beginning of the 2025/2026 Academic Year, the Christian Spiritual Activity Unit (UKR Kristen) Jesus In My Campus (JIC) held its First Worship Service with the theme “Everything Begins with Love.” The event took place on Friday, September 12, 2025, at The UBM Hall, 8th Floor, Ancol Campus, and was attended by approximately 150 participants consisting of Universitas Bunda Mulia Ancol students.
The purpose of this event was to provide a space for Christian students—both newcomers and those already familiar with the campus environment—to grow closer to God, strengthen their relationship with Him, and build meaningful connections with others.
In line with the theme, the service emphasized that love is the beginning of everything. Love is the essence of God’s works for humanity, from creation and redemption to relationships among people. During the sermon, the speaker expounded on the theme based on 1 John 4:19, encouraging participants to understand the meaning of God’s love and to apply it in their daily lives.
The program began with an opening led by the Master of Ceremony (MC), who invited the participants to stand and sing the UBM Anthem. The session then continued with welcoming remarks from the JIC Chairperson as the event leader. Participants then joined in Pray, Praise, and Worship, followed by the Sermon delivered by Ps. Marlon Bolung.
After the sermon, the program continued with a talk show and the awarding of door prizes to participants who asked questions. The event proceeded with an offering and announcements. On this occasion, a token of appreciation (TOA) was presented to Ps. Marlon Bolung by Manongga Bryan Christian, S.E., M.M. The session continued with the introduction of the Executive Board (BPH) JIC 2025/2026 by the JIC Advisor for the 2025/2026 period. The entire event concluded with a blessing prayer, closing song, and remarks by the MC.
In conclusion, the entire series of activities for the First Worship Service of JIC ran smoothly. The committee extends its gratitude to the Student Activity Board (BKM), advisor, speaker, JIC Executive Board 2025/2026, committee members, and all participants for their time, energy, and collaboration in making this event a success. Moving forward, JIC hopes to continue organizing even better and more impactful activities for students.
