Tangerang, October 22, 2026 – UKM Talent (MCU) Bunda Mulia Serpong University successfully held its first workshop entitled “Define Your Persona Radiate Charisma” on Thursday, October 22, 2026. Located at UBM Tower, 14th Floor (R1408 & R1409), the event took place at 17.30–20.30 WIB with Ms. Virgitta Septyana, SIKom., M.Si as the speaker. This activity was chaired by Agata Karen Chandra and attended by 57 participants who attended onsite .
The event was warmly and enthusiastically opened by the Master of Ceremonies (MC), Jeremiah Christian Hidayat and Felicia Callista Bong. The series began with the singing of the National Anthem “Indonesia Raya” and the Bunda Mulia University March. The reading of the rules of procedure followed, accompanied by an expression of appreciation to the media partners , including Journal Is Me (JIM), who fully supported the event.
Before entering the material session, the Advisor of UKM Talent (MCU), Ms. Viola Geraldine, S.Psi., MIKom., gave a welcoming speech to ignite the enthusiasm of the participants which was then followed by a welcoming speech from the Head of the Event Committee, namely Agata Karen Chandra. The event continued with a presentation of material by Ms. Virgitta Septyana, SIKom., M.Si. She emphasized that public speaking skills and opportunities to become an MC are not limited to Communication Science students only, but are widely open to all study programs such as Tourism, Management, Digital Business, to Mandarin.
In her presentation, Ms. Virgitta emphasized three main pillars: personal branding , persona , and charisma . Participants were also provided with an understanding of the three types of MC energy: ” The Energetic One,” “The Elegant One,” and “The Warm One.” She also introduced the main principle of “Success is found within yourself” and urged every MC to have a Unique Selling Point (USP) as a unique differentiating value.
The material session ended with a self – assessment so that participants could recognize their strengths , values , and signatures while emphasizing the importance of authenticity in their work. As a form of appreciation for the inspiring material, the event continued with the handover of the Token of Appreciation (ToA) to Ms. Virgitta Septyana, SIKom., M.Si. The atmosphere became even more lively through an interactive games session divided into three games: guess the style, guess the word, and squat games .
The crucial moment continued with the practical session. Participants were given the opportunity to directly practice MC and public speaking techniques according to their chosen personas: storyteller, motivator, leader , and entertainer . Each persona had a designated PIC to assist the participants. This was followed by a documentation and photo session with all participants, the committee, and the speakers.
Towards the end of the event, the MC again expressed his gratitude to all media partners , followed by the announcement of ” Open Volunteers Merchandising Division” for participants who are interested in getting further involved in UKM Talent (MCU) activities. Then the series of activities was officially closed by Jeremiah Christian Hidayat and Felicia Callista Bong as MC.
