Tangerang, January 28, 2026 – A competitive and enthusiastic atmosphere colored a series of internal matches between study programs at Bunda Mulia University, Serpong Campus. This event was organized by the Serpong Campus Basketball Student Activity Unit (UKM Basket) as a platform to showcase talent, especially in the field of basketball, to increase the spirit of sportsmanship and solidarity of students between study programs. The match took place for four days, namely from January 28, 30, 31 and February 3, 2026, at The UBM Sport Hall, 11th Floor, UBM Tower.

The enthusiasm of all students for this tournament was quite high. A total of 12 men’s and women’s teams from various study programs participated in the competition, with a total of 96 players. The competing study programs were Management, Accounting, Communication Studies, Visual Communication Design, Hospitality & Tourism, Digital Business, and Informatics.
The men’s basketball tournament was played using a knockout system, with each team battling hard to advance to the final round. The women’s basketball tournament was played using a point-scoring system. The final, pitting the men’s basketball team from Digital Business against Informatics, was a closely fought affair. Ultimately, the Digital Business study program emerged victorious with a score of 104-31.

However, the success of this event is not only measured by the winner, but also by the enthusiasm and positive feedback provided by the participants and spectators. Melissa, the captain of the women’s team from the Hospitality & Tourism study program, expressed her impressions, “It was so much fun! We got to meet and compete with friends from other study programs, and we also got to further improve our basketball skills. Amazing!” she said.


The Chair of the Committee for this event, Callista Valerie from the Basketball Student Activity Unit, expressed her satisfaction with the smooth running of the event, “We are very pleased because the event ran smoothly and received an extraordinary response from students. The number of spectators for each match was also always busy, showing that basketball really has a special place in the hearts of Bunda Mulia University students. This positive feedback will be our evaluation to create an even more lively event next year,” she said.

With the conclusion of this internal basketball match, the committee hopes that the spirit of sport and togetherness between departments within Bunda Mulia University can be maintained and strengthened.
