On Monday, October 20, 2025, the Hospitality & Tourism Study Program at Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UBM) held an Industrial Visit to The Dharmawangsa Hotel Jakarta, located at Jl. Brawijaya Raya No. 26, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta. The event was attended by 5th-semester Executive Accommodation Management students and accompanied by their supervising lecturer, Mrs. Stephanie Rosanto, BBus., MBA. As an educational institution committed to producing industry-ready graduates, the visit was designed to connect academic theory with practical experience. At The Dharmawangsa, students gained firsthand experience in implementing world-class service—including a service philosophy of elegance and international standards—executed through the hotel’s flagship butler service program. The material was delivered by a special resource person, Ms. Michelle Georgiana—Assistant Butler Manager, who comprehensively explained how personalized service, guest etiquette, and meeting luxury guest expectations are implemented in the daily operations of a five-star hotel. Students also toured the hotel facilities, allowing them to observe the professional environment firsthand. Through this activity, students are expected to not only gain new insights but also sharpen their critical understanding of guest service standards, hotel operational policies, and career opportunities in butler service and accommodation management. Furthermore, this activity strengthens the strategic collaboration between UBM and The Dharmawangsa Jakarta as educational and industry partners. Hopefully, this real-life experience will inspire and motivate students to continue developing their competencies and addressing the challenges of the hospitality world professionally.
