          Master’s Program in Communication Studies

          At the master’s level, communication studies are no longer confined to theoretical concepts but also examine scientific developments and practical relevance. Students are equipped with the ability to understand complex communication strategies.

          Therefore, the master’s program in communication is ideal for those seeking to advance their professional careers in marketing communication or pursue a career as researchers.

          The Master’s Degree in Communication Studies at Universitas Bunda Mulia is INTERNATIONALLY ACCREDITED and is committed to producing the best professional human resources in the field of communication. By specializing in Digital Media, students will gain a comprehensive understanding of the complex social phenomena shaping our media and digital world.

          The program follows a structured and systematic curriculum, complemented by business seminars to broaden participants’ insights into industry developments. Classes are held regularly and in hybrid format from Monday to Thursday (6:30 PM – 9:00 PM WIB).

          Universitas Bunda Mulia (UBM) has been awarded the “Accredited with Excellence” status by the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT). This is stated in Decree No. 268/SK/BAN-PT/Ak/PT/III/2024, dated March 19, 2024.

          Course Structure

          The Master’s Program in Communication Studies at Universitas Bunda Mulia consists of 54 Semester Credit Units (SKS), divided into three components: Core Courses and Thesis. Below are the details of each component

          Enrichment Courses Group, load: 0 (zero) credit
          The Master’s Program in Communication introduces new students to foundational knowledge related to the theoretical aspects of communication science, as well as an introduction to various forms of research in communication studies (both qualitative and quantitative)..

          Core Courses Group, load: 36 (thirty-six) credits
          This group develops students’ knowledge and skills in analyzing functional flows and designing future-oriented changes within these systems.

          Thesis Proposal Seminar & Thesis, load: 18 (eighteen) credits
          The program culminates with each student producing a substantial thesis, an essential piece of original research in communication studies
