What is Communication Science?
Communication Science is the study of communication concepts, communication methods, and the management of information processes, both verbal and nonverbal. It also examines how information is received and understood through channels and media effectively.
In the industrial world, this field is highly valuable. For instance, it plays a crucial role in developing public relations activities or building brand image. These are examples of how marketing communication is applied. Meanwhile, any information products obtained through media (news, social media content, etc.) illustrate the application of communication science in digital communication and media.
The Communication Science study program has been established since June 10, 2003, in accordance with the Higher Education Administration Decree No. 11102/D/T/K-III/2012. This program represents a cohesive study plan that specifically examines, applies, and develops Communication Science.
