Jakarta, June 4, 2024 – Universitas Bunda Mulia (UBM) proudly sent one of its top students to compete in the semifinals of the prestigious Elle & Vire Young Chef Competition 2024. The competition, held on June 4, 2024, challenged participants to create a marble cake and plated dessert within a three-hour timeframe. The results of their culinary creations were then displayed and presented to the panel of judges.
UBM’s student competed alongside 27 other participants from a diverse range of academic institutions and hospitality industry backgrounds. Competitors from academic institutions included Trisakti, Podomoro, Pradita, APCA, AKPAR NHI Bandung, Politeknik International Bali, IPB Bali, Elizabeth International Hotel & Business School Bali, SMKN 57, and Akademi Sages Surabaya.
Additionally, in the Elle & Vire Professional category, UBM’s Hospitality and Tourism Study Program (Hospar) earned a golden opportunity to advance to the final round. This success was supported by dedicated guidance from faculty mentor, Mr. Yudhiet Fajar Dewantara, who provided valuable mentorship and support to the students throughout the competition.
The competition serves as a prestigious platform not only to test the culinary skills of the participants but also to offer them invaluable experience in the professional culinary world. UBM looks forward to achieving even greater success in the final stage of the competition.
