Jakarta, February 22, 2025 – Universitas Bunda Mulia (UBM), in collaboration with DGTtraffic Indonesia, successfully held a soft skills seminar titled “Communication Skill: How to Communicate Better at Work.” The event took place at The UBM Premiere Class Room, Ancol Campus, 2nd floor, and was attended by students and professionals eager to improve their communication skills in the workplace. The seminar featured Dr. Lasmery R.M. Girsang, S.IP., M.Si., Head of the Master of Communication Studies Program at Universitas Bunda Mulia, as the keynote speaker. In her presentation, Dr. Lasmery emphasized the importance of effective communication skills in the workplace and provided practical tips to enhance both interpersonal and professional communication.
“Good communication is the key to success in the workplace. By understanding the right communication techniques, we can build better relationships, improve team collaboration, and create a more productive work environment,” said Dr. Lasmery during her opening session.
The seminar ran from 9:00 AM until completion and included various interactive sessions, such as group discussions, case studies, and hands-on communication practice. Participants showed great enthusiasm throughout the event and asked numerous questions about communication challenges they face at work. UBM remains committed to providing quality education and supporting the development of soft skills for students and young professionals. Through this seminar, participants are expected to gain more confidence in communication and apply the knowledge acquired to their future careers.
This event is part of a series of student skill development programs initiated by UBM in collaboration with industry partners to prepare competent graduates ready to compete in the global workforce. With the support of DGTtraffic Indonesia, this seminar serves as one of the efforts to create excellent and adaptable human resources for the evolving job market.
