At the 11th anniversary of the UBM Investment Gallery, with success and pride, the Management Study Program of Universitas Bunda Mulia and the Excellent Community of Management (XCM) held a celebration in the form of the 10th Investment Day (IDAY) event. The theme of the 10th Investment Day was “Investor Strategies: Sustainable Portfolio Amidst Disruption and Volatility,” with the sub-topic: “Building Resilience for Sustainable Investor in Disruptive Market.” This theme reflects a condition amid dynamic changes and uncertainty related to technological innovation, policy changes, and shifts in the global economy; the ability to adapt and create a sustainable portfolio is the key to investment success for investors in the capital market. The aim of this seminar was to provide insight, explore strategies, and inspire investors in creating portfolios that are not just for survival, but that continue to grow sustainably to achieve profits amid an uncertain and challenging market.
In addition, a national competition was held, divided into three categories: the National Virtual Trading Competition, National Stock Analysis Competition, and National Stock Lab Competition. The National Virtual Trading Competition and National Stock Analysis Competition were held online, while the National Stock Lab Competition was held offline at Universitas Bunda Mulia Ancol Campus. The competition series was joined not only by students of Universitas Bunda Mulia but also by students from various universities in Indonesia, who added to the excitement of the IDAY 2024 competition.
Seminar “Investor Strategies: Sustainable Portfolio Amidst Disruption and Volatility”, Subtopik Building Resilience for Sustainable Investor in Disruptive Market
The seminar “Investor Strategies: Sustainable Portfolio Amidst Disruption and Volatility,” Subtopic: Building Resilience for Sustainable Investor in Disruptive Market, of the 10th Investment Day (IDAY) 2024 was held in a hybrid format, with participants attending at The UBM Hall UBM Ancol Campus and Lecture Hall UBM Serpong Campus, as well as online via Zoom. The seminar opened with a traditional dance (TARTRA) from the Ancol Campus, which is one of the traditional dance student activity units at Universitas Bunda Mulia, followed by opening remarks from Mrs. Tannia, SE., MM, Head of the Management Study Program at Universitas Bunda Mulia. The event continued with keynote speeches starting with Mr. Kemas M. Rumaiyar, Head of Regional Development 3 at the Indonesia Stock Exchange, and Mr. Muhammad Banyu Adiputra Utomo, Head of Business at PT MNC Sekuritas. The event was also enlivened by a “tumpeng” cutting ceremony, which marked the 11th anniversary of the UBM Investment Gallery. Afterward, the seminar continued, moderated by Mrs. Dhiandra Mugni Binara Ayu, a News Anchor and Producer at iNews TV. The speakers in the 10th Investment Day (IDAY) 2024 seminar were highly competent and renowned, namely Mr. Andry Hakim, Chief Investment Officer (Stockwise), and Mr. Lutfan Fadel Putra, Head of Investor Relations at PT Media Nusantara Citra Tbk (MNCN).
The material presented by the speakers was in line with the theme. Mr. Andry Hakim explained and presented the material from the perspective of an investor in building a portfolio and strategies to face the capital market, which tends to have high volatility, as well as how to seize these opportunities as momentum in the capital market. Then, Mr. Lutfan Fadel Putra from the issuer’s side presented material regarding the MNCN issuer in relation to the disruptive capital market condition and the relevance to MNCN as the issuer, how issuers implement strategies to survive and reduce risks, as well as build a sustainable portfolio as a business in the media sector. After the presentation, the event continued with a Q&A session moderated by the host. The enthusiasm of the participants in the seminar was evident from the numerous questions asked.
The event continued with the announcement of the winners of the National Virtual Trading Competition, National Stock Analysis Competition, and National Stock Lab Competition. The 10th Investment Day (IDAY) 2024 was closed with a performance from one of the student activity units of Universitas Bunda Mulia, VOU (The Voice of UBM) Ancol Campus.
National Virtual Trading Competition, National Stock Analysis Competition, dan National Stock Lab Competition
National Virtual Trading Competition, National Stock Analysis Competition, and National Stock Lab Competition From September 2, 2024, when registration began, until the determination of winners on October 2, 2024, IDAY successfully held three competitions, where the National Virtual Trading Competition and National Stock Analysis Competition were conducted online, and the National Stock Lab Competition was held onsite. The National Virtual Trading Competition was held online, where participants were given capital from MNC Sekuritas’ virtual trading accounts to trade in real-time in the capital market. The winners were based on the highest total cash. The National Stock Analysis Competition was held online, with the question distribution starting on September 16, 2024. This competition produced the top 10 teams, and the presentation was held online on September 30, 2024. The National Stock Analysis Competition featured two external judges: Mr. Jimmy Dimas Wahyu Indraseno, Co-Founder of Lima Dua Group & Instructor at the Certified Wealth Managers’ Association, and Mrs. Indah Nurhabibah, Head of Sharia Business & Investment Gallery at PT MNC Sekuritas. The National Stock Lab Competition was held onsite at UBM Ancol Campus, where the winners were determined based on the highest points earned in the game during several sessions. Through this competition, it is hoped that young people, especially students, will understand the importance of investment and experience how investment can be both enjoyable and profitable in the future. Each competition produced 3 winners.

In the National Virtual Trading Competition, first place was won by M. Fatkhul Majid from the Management Study Program at Universitas Negeri Semarang, second place by Icha Veronica from the Accounting Study Program at Universitas Bunda Mulia Ancol Campus, and third place by Deco Wijaya from the Management Study Program at Universitas Bunda Mulia Ancol Campus. In the National Stock Analysis Competition, first place was won by the Nawasena team (Laurencia Meidi, Lia, and Vania Risyona) from the Management Study Program at Universitas Bunda Mulia Ancol Campus, second place by the Kerja Cerdas team (Sarah Felina, Singgi, and Alvin Wijaya) from the Management Study Program at Universitas Bunda Mulia Ancol Campus, and third place by the Beauty and The Beast team (Liu De Sheng Hermanto, Cerlysia, and Andry Budyanto) from the Management Study Program at Universitas Bunda Mulia Ancol Campus. In the National Stock Lab Competition, first place was won by Justin Raphael Wijaya from the Management Study Program at Universitas Bunda Mulia Ancol Campus, second place by Alfaro Diaz from the Management Study Program at Universitas Bunda Mulia Ancol Campus, and third place by Jason Chen from the Management Study Program at Universitas Bunda Mulia Ancol Campus.
