On Saturday, February 15, 2025, the Excellent Community of Management (XCM), as the Student Association of the Management Study Program at Universitas Bunda Mulia, Ancol Campus, organized a soft skills training event themed “How Organizing Mind, Time, and Space Could Affect Organizational and Individual Success.” This event was also held in conjunction with the 17th Anniversary Celebration of XCM, themed “Together We Work, Together We Build.”
The event was divided into two sessions: the first session focused on soft skills training, while the second session was dedicated to celebrating XCM’s 17th Anniversary. The soft skills training provided students with an in-depth understanding of the importance of emotional intelligence (EQ) and helped them develop skills to enhance their awareness of the crucial role EQ plays in organizational and business contexts. This session began at 13:37 WIB and was opened by Kasappa Lotandy (12210158) and Lavina Christy (12230326) as the Masters of Ceremony. The event then continued with opening remarks from Mr. Elkunny Dovir Siratan, S.Par., MM, as the XCM advisor, and Wily Dozen, as the Chairman of XCM.
Following the opening remarks, the event proceeded to its core session—a presentation delivered by Mrs. Sophia Reni Susilo, SE., MM, as the speaker for this training. Mrs. Sophia began her presentation by explaining the concepts of Mind, Time, and Space, emphasizing their importance in both individual and organizational contexts. She also elaborated on techniques for managing these three aspects, including the Pomodoro technique, which involves working in 25-minute intervals with four cycles, each followed by a 5-minute break for self-reflection.
After the presentation, a Q&A session was conducted between the speaker and the participants, moderated by the MCs. The session concluded with the awarding of a certificate to the speaker by Mr. Elkunny as the XCM advisor. The first session then ended with a group photo session.
Following the conclusion of the first session, the event proceeded with the second session—the 17th Anniversary Celebration of XCM. This celebration marked XCM’s 17th year and served as an opportunity to strengthen the bonds between members and alumni, fostering further growth for XCM. The celebration began with an introduction of members from each XCM division, which was further enlivened by the presence of XCM alumni who participated in the introductions. The event then continued with a throwback video presentation and a special video featuring well wishes from XCM members. The highlight of the celebration was the symbolic cake-cutting and candle-blowing ceremony, led by Mr. Elkunny Dovir Siratan, S.Par., MM, as the XCM advisor, Wily Dozen as the XCM Chairman, and Cindy Martadina as the XCM Vice Chairman.
The event then moved into the games session, where participants were divided into groups and directed to the TUPA area by the event team. The games session consisted of three parts: the first game, “In and Out,” involved using raffia strings; the second game was “Mingle Games,” and the final game was “Battle Suit.”
After the games session concluded, the event continued with the announcement of game winners and a gift exchange activity. Finally, the second session of the event ended with a group photo session and the completion of the final attendance list and questionnaire. It is hoped that the Soft Skills Training and the XCM Anniversary Celebration will bring valuable benefits to XCM members and alumni who participated in the event.
